14TH ST OVERLAY

We identified locations and stories that combine into a ‘treasure hunt’ of 23 somewhat hidden artworks along 14th Street in Denver. Each instrument combines a real-time view of the streetscape with an ‘overlay’ slide that adds an additional narrative.

Each of the devices (7 types in all) are carefully aligned to their respective sites. Animated lenticular images, LED illuminated slides and optical cylinders manipulate historic photos to tell the story of each place with a contemporary twist.
