THE SHAKER

The Shaker was our first sculpture that plays with the idea of anamorphosis, a type of distortion where the form resolves at only one point of view.

As visitors walk through the space, the sculpture/machine is at first unrecognizable, perversely distorted through digital manipulation

Yet, from one singular vantage point the piece pulls into focus.

When the Shaker aligns with the ‘shadow’ painted on the wall, the perspective is undistorted.
